There are various different types of messages that can be sent through the empulse client.
They each have their own special features which we have detailed below.

Standard messages
These should always be the most common as they always utilise the subscription process.
Mandatory messages
- These are moved to the top of employee message list
- They cannot be deleted until opened by employee
- They should be limited in use as they bypass the subscription process
Scheduled messages
These can be created in advance and modified prior to release
Emergency alert messages
- These are used to ensure the safety of all employees
- Real-time mass notification can be produced
- Pre-defined templates can be created
- These will still appear over a locked screen
- Warning alert popup – it will take over screen
- Can also be sent via SMS text
Essential messages
- Essential messages are used when the business has been seriously impacted (but no risk to employee safety)
- Has the same features as alerts
Pulse polls
Pulse polls can be defined for any subject matter
